Annual Lions Club Golf Outing
It has become a tradition for our Mattson team to be a sponsor each year during the Drive for Vision Lakewood Lions Club event! This community involvement directly supports Lion’s Club members and enables programs to continue like Kidsight, Eversight, Leader Dog and more!
2022 Client Appreciation Movie Event: Ticket to Paradise
2022 was all about coming together again and sharing our continuous appreciation for our clients. Together, we enjoyed the tropical views of Bali on the big screen and each client received flower leis as we welcomed them to the theater!
2022 Annual Charity Event (The ACE): The Gallery of Re-Tired Iron, McGrew Farms
We were honored when one of our client’s extended the invitation to host our 2022 charity event on his Centennial Farm in Lawrence, MI. Situated on 100 acres, were antique tractors in various stages of restoration, hay trolleys and agriculture-associated cast iron tools used by farmers over 100-150 years ago. Included in this collection was also a multi-generational display of military memorabilia dating from pre-WWII to Desert Storm! Clients also enjoyed food trucks and live music from the Michigan Mafia String Band! 92 for 22 was voted top charity, with Equine Assisted Development and Manna’s Market also taking home a donation that Mattson made on behalf of our clients. They were all winners that day!
2021 Client Appreciation Movie Event: No Time to Die
Due to the status of COVID and the desire to keep everyone safe in 2020, we had to post-pone our usual client movie event. Dressed in our Bond inspired best, we were overjoyed to be able to bring back our annual event and once again, spend an afternoon with our clients at the movies. This year, we watched Daniel Craig’s finale run as the infamous 007! We are hopeful for more opportunities to safely hold client events.

2019 Client Appreciation Movie Event: Mr. Rogers' "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood"
Hello, neighbor! At our 2019 year-end client appreciation event, clients and their guests joined us at Celebration! Cinema to watch “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.” Additionally, we paired with Kentwood’s Little Free Pantry and had an incredible turnout of donations from clients.
2019 Show & Shine Car Event
Many of our clients have spoken about the work and pride they have for their classic cars. We hosted a “Show & Shine” car event and opened it to everyone to go head-to-head for titles such as “Best Engine Bay” and “Best Paint Job.” We had 14 registered vehicles, shining chassis, and a gourmet hot dog cart with an endless choice of toppings.
2019 Annual Charity Event (The ACE): A Magical Evening in Shanghai
We welcomed clients by traveling across the globe to Shanghai! Clients dined on an exquisite Chinese buffet and tried their luck at the Shanghai Casino. We showcased a magic show by Michigan’s own Jonathon LaChance. Proceeds went to support four local charities: Breathing Becomes Effortless, Graces Table, Blue Star Mothers, and Outdoor Discovery Club Network.

2018 Client Appreciation Movie Event: "Fantastic Beasts"
At our 2018 year-end client appreciation event hosted at Celebration! Cinema, we treated our clients and guests to a private showing of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.” Guests enjoyed endless amounts of popcorn and we enjoyed their great company!
2018 Annual Charity Event (The ACE): Casino Night: Cowboy Casino
Howdy, partner! We headed out west to say thank you to our clients for being part of our Mattson Financial family. Everyone enjoyed a selection of outdoor food vendors and then tried their luck around the Cowboy Casino – which was more fun than a buckin’ bronco! We were excited to surprise everyone with our special guest: country music star Keith Anderson! The best part of the evening was sharing donations to our featured four local charities: The Barn for Equine Learning, Saranac Future Farmers of America (FFA), Sunny Crest Youth Ranch, and Lake Odessa Fair (Agriculture).
2018 SHRED DAY
We held our annual Shred Event right after Tax Day, where clients as well as radio and TV listeners came by our office to shred old, unneeded documents. We also invited them in for a “shredded” pork lunch on us. We’re always looking to break our record of 6,460 pounds of shredded documents!
